Cicadas are a hit in this toddler's household!

Three-year-old Willow Neahring of Glen Ellyn loves cicadas. The past few weeks have been particularly exciting and fascinating for her as she has been discovering them, along with their shells, on trees in the parks in their neighborhood. Last week, the Daily Herald ran a front page article on this insect and she was thrilled to have her mother read it to her and learn more about the lifecycle of a cicada. This poster was a joint effort and a wonderful at-home learning experience.
