Barrington hydrant flushing starts this week

Barrington public works crews will begin annual fire hydrant flushing this week. Village officials say the hydrant flushing will start in the downtown central business district. That'll be followed by neighborhood flushing after the work is finished downtown. Residents are asked to watch for posted signs in their neighborhoods. The tap water can be used for various purposes during the flushing, but officials said residents may want to postpone laundry during that time.
