Different standards at news conferences

I have been watching the Press Conferences of the President Trump and Gov. Pritzker. The presidential conferences are always contentious every day. For example: "With over 50,00 people dead from the virus, do you think you should be reelected?"

Then we go to the governor's news conferences. Questions are controlled by some journalists who seem to ask mostly softball questions. He was asked why he is delaying opening the state? He said it is not me, it's the scientists and the data. Journalist's remark? Governor the next question is. No follow up or questioning why he did not take responsibility for the shut down.

Let's look at the science. The governor says there can be groups of 10 or less. However, there cannot be a foursome on the golf course because someone will die. I can go to the grocery store and push a cart that maybe a dozen people use in a day. However, golf courses cannot rent golf carts because people will die.

A family of four live in the same house together and as long as they stay home, they are safe. However, if they go on their boat, someone will die.

Gov. Pritzker stated that a leader should set an example. He wants you to stay home, but his wife can fly to Florida to their $12 million dollar estate to ride her horse. That's OK.

The governor keeps saying that these draconian rules are determined by the scientists and the data. If this is true, than why doesn't he have the scientists step up to the podium and answer how science came up with these ridiculous rules.
