A glimpse of chaos

I hope that legislators and citizens pushing for McHenry County to be decoupled from the Northeast Region of Gov. Pritzker's plan to reopen Illinois take note of what's happening across the border in Wisconsin. As soon as the Wisconsin Supreme Court invalidated the governor's stay-at-home order there, bars opened and residents flocked to them to celebrate the news. Unfortunately, pictures from the bars demonstrated pretty clearly that trusting people to do the right thing isn't always the best policy. No one wore masks (or, in at least one case, a shirt), and there was little to no social distancing. Is this what we can expect if McHenry County opens prematurely? I've seen nothing from legislators about what rules would be in place for bars and restaurants, and how they would be enforced. Until we get that information, I'll be staying at home regardless.
