Lawsuits are without merit

We now have a second lawsuit made by state Rep. John Cabello. It claims "irreparable harm because people are required to stay at home ..." and says "The fundamental right for Cabello and all persons similarity situated, of free movement to leave their homes and engaged in activities as they so desire were arbitrarily stripped away from them by the executive order ..."

After reading this, I looked to see if I had guards, police or army personnel outside my home making sure that my wife and I couldn't leave. There was no one present.

My wife and I wear masks and gloves to go shopping. We leave our home for our daily walk. We do gardening. We speak to our neighbors, practicing social distancing.

Rep. Cabello and the other two House Reps. Bailey and Ugaste seem to think that people are held prisoners in their homes. Wrong, gentlemen.

As for opening up all stores because the big box stores like Walmart and Target are open. Walmart and Target have grocery areas and pharmacies, a shopper can pick up their food items and medicines.

Perhaps the three reps should speak to the families of love ones fighting for their lives because they have the virus before they decide that the governor's order is bad.

We have to practice social distancing and wear masks and gloves to stay healthy and safe.

I hope the courts throw Cabello's suit out. It has absolutely no merit.
