Batavia Ministerial Association partners with Raising Cane for May 18 fundraiser

The Batavia Ministerial Association is raising money for a new housing relief fund. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many people in the community are struggling to keep up with rent and mortgage payments. For many the hardest days are still ahead. If housing isn't stable, very little in life can be.

One hundred percent of money raised will be distributed to the Tri-City Salvation Army, St. Vincent de Paul at Holy Cross Catholic Church, and Shepherd's Heart at Chapelstreet Church, to be used for the sole purpose of providing assistance to people who need it.

Though each has their own service areas, these organizations serve clients in Batavia, North Aurora, Geneva, St. Charles and beyond.

They are well-established and trusted by the community and are equipped to handle applications and provide case management to those who request assistance, which will further the impact of donations.

At this point in time, you can help by donating through one of the partner faith communities or by supporting the fundraiser events.

On Monday, May 18, join the Raising Cane's fundraiser for the housing relief fund from 4 to 9 p.m. Drive up to Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers at 1998 McKee St. in Batavia and mention the fundraiser while ordering. Fifteen percent of sales donated to the Batavia Ministerial Association Housing Relief Fund.
