Trump doing a great job protecting us

In response to the letter headlined, "The president's goal" of April 24:

Does the writer know for a fact that Donald Trump is personally responsible for the deaths of thousands of people or is this just another Democrat who can't stand the fact that he won the last election.

Of course, we were not ready for this pandemic.

Did you know it was coming or did I not get the memo that was sent out by Pelosi or Schumer, who seem to know everything after the fact? Amazing how people and politicians become geniuses at the first opportune time.

As far as trying to harm black Americans or other minorities is ridiculous.

I don't know of any president in the past other than Lincoln that has done more than President Trump to help bring jobs to all minority communities, not welfare.

From what I understand, the pandemic was brought into this country. It did not originate here, so where is all the talk about Trump being a racist for trying to close some of our borders now?

He tried to protect us once and most people chastised him for it. Now that people can see some of the ramifications of wide-open borders and how it can hit home, it's a different story.

As far as I'm concerned, President Trump is doing a great job. He doesn't have to put up with people constantly criticizing him. He's a rich man and if he were not president and wanted to golf 24 hours a day. So be it.

Our previous president was embarrassed by his own pastor, the Rev. White, for his true activist ideals until they quickly shut him up, and came out of the White House a very rich man. Did anyone ever question how?
