Grant money for local PTAs

National PTA will award $1.5 million in grants to parent-teacher associations nationwide to help meet critical needs of students, families, teachers and schools. The funding is supported by national sponsors TikTok, Google, Bayer Fund, Mathnasium and Life360. When schools closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, more than 70 grant recipients were scheduled to host sponsored family night programs, science festivals and math nights. Collectively, the national sponsors have provided more than $160,000 in program grants being redirected to address critical community needs. TikTok also has named National PTA as a beneficiary of its Community Relief Fund, donating $2 million to the association. A significant portion of this funding will be granted in phases to district, council, region and local PTAs. Applications open June 1. TikTok also has pledged to match up to $10 million in donations by its users to National PTA and other select beneficiaries through May 27.
