Lincolnshire cancels spring, summer events
Lincolnshire officials have canceled all public community events through July 4 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. That includes a Memorial Day celebration, Food Truck Friday gatherings until July 4 and an Independence Day bash at Spring Lake Park.
However, a fireworks show set for July 4 remains on the schedule. Village leaders will share information with residents about safe viewing practices and the need to maintaining social distancing.
In addition to the event cancellations, lifeguards will not be present at Spring Lake Beach this summer. People will swim at their own risk, officials said. Anyone 15 or younger must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or another person at least 16 years old.
