Buffalo Grove Rotary Offers Grants to Organizations That Benefit the Community

The Buffalo Grove Rotary Club is offering one-time community grants of up to $2,500 for agencies and organizations that plan to make a positive difference in the Buffalo Grove community. Recipients will have demonstrated through their application that their efforts and initiatives can provide long-term and sustainable benefits for Buffalo Grove, as well as for its residents. The deadline to apply is Saturday, May 16, 2020.

Preference will be given to projects (as opposed to ongoing causes) that continue to improve the Buffalo Grove community - making it a better place to live and work. Effective projects should respond to real issues, improve the lives of community members, be realistic and utilize available resources, and have specific goals with measurable results.

"The Community Grants program has been offered by our club for the last several years, and is our way to inspire and encourage organizations to have a real impact," said Buffalo Grove Rotary Club President Bill Donahue. "Due to the ongoing pandemic, many area organizations are struggling financially and we are hopeful this program allows them to continue their good works."

Applications can be downloaded at bgrotary.org and must include a clear mission with structured leadership. While charitable and non-profit organizations with a 501(c)(3) designation are invited to apply, this designation is not a requirement. Faith-based organizations that sponsor projects which can benefit the entire community are also invited to apply.

For questions, please contact the Buffalo Grove Rotary Club Grants Committee Chair Deenie Pomilia at 847-533-6605 or via email at grants@bgrotary.org.
