True 'greater good'

The comments by D. Richard Harrison in the April 21 issue of Your Views were absurd. He claims "people of this country desperately need guidance and leadership to inspire and encourage everyone to participate in a common cause for the greater good of all," therefore condemning President Trump for wanting to open the economy.

The greater good means the greatest possible good for the greatest possible number of individuals. I don't see how that's open to interpretation.

There are almost 22 million people who have filed for unemployment due to COVID 19, and I suspect most of them will soon be getting desperate.

The greater good would obviously be to open the economy. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a fool. Somebody tell Gov. Pritzker.

P.S. If you're worried that you might get COVID-19, just stay home.
