Swedish strategy is better than ours

The Swedish strategy against the coronavirus is vastly superior to that of the U.S. They have avoided a lockdown and have avoided massive government bailouts. Their death rate is about 209 per million while the U.S. is at 153 per million, but Sweden's death rate will likely be lower than the U.S.'s death rate soon when their herd immunity limits deaths going forward this year. Herd immunity is said to be achieved when the general population reaches about 60% having been infected, having recovered and having acquired immunity through their body's creation of antibodies that fought off the coronavirus.

Because of no lockdown, Sweden will reach this level of herd immunity very soon.

In the United States, Dr. Anthony Fauci, who has led the American strategy, recommended tactics which were good for fighting HIV/AIDS, such as testing and tracing, which worked well for slowing the spread of HIV - which is a slow spreading infection and easy to trace - but these HIV-tactics do not work at all for the coronavirus, which is a very fast spreading infection and virtually untraceable (how do you trace a virus spread in the NYC subway?).

Simply put, Dr. Fauci is fighting the last war (the one against HIV) and in so doing, is destroying the U.S. economy with his recommended lockdown and still failing to stop the spread of the virus any better than Sweden, which simply quarantined the most vulnerable people.

By recommending and supervising the implementation of an HIV strategy to fight the coronavirus, Dr. Fauci has made the biggest advisory mistake in world history. He is more responsible for the current disaster in the United States than any other person and should be fired in disgrace for his horrendous mistakes.
