See Arts in Bartlett Spring Gala streamed today on Facebook Live
When it became apparent that the third annual Spring Gala could not be held at a banquet hall as planned due to COVID-19, Arts in Bartlett decided the show must go on.
Now the performances featuring the arts center's teachers will be streamed on Facebook Live from 3-4:30 p.m. Sunday May 3, at facebook.com/ArtsinBartlett.
Prizes of donated gift certificates will be awarded during the events to those who view and comment or donate through a link to the art council's website. A tour of the gallery will highlight current artists and their works for sale.
Dorothy Deen, cello performer and teacher, will host the event in the Bartlett Center for the Arts, with board member Paul Ohlson as co-host. The program includes: Dorothy Deen, cello; Tobias James, classical and Spanish guitar; Katey Mundorf, Irish dance; Mindy Dupee, vocal and piano; Ann Griffin, children's art.
The event is free to attend, but donations are encouraged through a link to the Spring Gala page, www.artsinbartlett.org.
Reminder that during 2020, amounts up to $300 donated to nonprofits can be taken as an "above the line" tax write-off, whether you itemize your deductions or not.
Families are encouraged to make this a Sunday afternoon party, ordering food from sponsor TL's Four Seasons restaurant and mixing their own quarantinis while enjoying an hour of music and art with local talent.
Arts in Bartlett is a local 501c3 nonprofit arts council, offering music and art lesson, a gallery for local artists, an annual Global Arts Festival, concerts and special events.
