Clubhouse Chatter: First impressions of 'Last Dance'

What our Sports staff has to say while waiting for the games to resume.

What I liked most were the clips of Scottie Pippen playing at Central Arkansas. What I liked least was they billed this as unseen footage of the 1997-1998 season and there wasn't a ton of that. Let's see more of the unseen.

Love the exclusive looks from practice and the locker room. Let's hope there's more of that as we go forward. It's been great so far, but also a lot of revisiting things we already knew. There's also no way for the late Jerry Krause to defend himself and many are taking advantage of that.

- Barry Rozner

I like that the series chronicles the long Bulls careers of Michael and Scottie, not just what happened in 1998. Jordan was still dominant in 1998, but he no longer possessed the explosiveness of the 1985 version that defied gravity. I'm glad the younger audience is getting to see why Jordan earned the nickname Air.

- Jerry Fitzpatrick

The first two episodes were windmill, early-MJ slam dunks. Loved the early Pippen footage, the soundtrack, MJ's mom reading his letter from college to her, and Steve Kerr on Jerry Krause's demise: "He couldn't get out of his own way."

- Joe Aguilar

I most liked Michael Jordan flashing back to his earliest days with the Bulls, specifically the exhibition game played in Peoria. Rarely do you get an inside look like the one he gave of his bum teammates partying in a hotel room.

- Scot Gregor

I'm almost embarrassed to say this but I haven't watched the first two episodes of "The Last Dance." My plan - the same plan I reserve for my favorite TV shows - is to build up a stockpile of episodes in my DVR and then binge watch them. Somehow I find that more appealing than waiting a full week for new episodes.
