Batavia

• A resident of the 800 block of North Forest Avenue reported a case of identity theft at 8:57 a.m. Tuesday after receiving a credit card in the mail that the resident did not apply for.

Kane County

• An air compressor, nail gun and other tools were stolen between 6 p.m. and 10:14 p.m. Tuesday from a tool box on a pickup truck parked on the 800 block of Bolz Road near Carpentersville. The loss was estimated at $2,000.
