District 220 elevates Teresa Reiche to assistant superintendent
Teresa Reiche is moving up to a top administrative post at Barrington Area Unit District 220.
District 220 board members this week approved Reiche as the assistant superintendent of human resources. She'll replace Mary Dudek, who's retiring in June.
Reiche has worked under Dudek for the past six years as director of human resources. She thanked the school board for the promotion.
"I do have big shoes to fill," Reiche said. "I've had a wonderful mentor over these six years. Mary, bless her heart, she's taught me so much."
Reiche came to District 220 from Palatine Township Elementary District 15, where she served as assistant principal at Stuart R. Paddock Elementary School in Palatine.
Away from her District 220 duties, Reiche is pursuing a Ph.D. in education and leadership at River Forest-based Concordia University.
Superintendent Brian Harris said he and the district's executive council recommended Reiche's approval for the lead HR job.
"Teresa is stepping into a big position, and we're looking forward to her in that role and being part of our exec council team here in Barrington 220," Harris said.
