Clubhouse Chatter: Where is the best stadium food?
What our Sports staff has to say while waiting for the games to resume.
White Sox games. I always get a hot dog from a specific stand along the first-base side concourse near home plate. They smother it in those tantalizing grilled onions you can smell cooking from Lot B. Add a little mustard. Simple perfection.

Pro sports-wise, the Blackhawks spoil the media. Pricey-restaurant quality food with to-die-for desserts. BMW Championship golf is also first-class in everything it does. Prep sports-wise, Wheeling and Dundee-Crown boast generous and awesome hospitality rooms for the media.

Camden Yards. I'm a big crab fan and Baltimore is the place to be if you want fresh product. At the dozens of White Sox at Orioles game I was fortunate enough to cover for the paper over the years, I often made my way to the concourse for a crabcake sandwich.

One thing that stands out in my memory was old County Stadium in Milwaukee. They used to take the hot dogs and brats and drop them in this dipping sauce, which was sort of a cross between ketchup and barbecue sauce. It was unique and very good. When I went to Miller Park for the first time, I asked if they still dipped the hot dogs and the concession worker had no idea what I was talking about. So the tradition might have disappeared, but I've never gone back to double-check.

You can't miss at Arlington's Park's food court. It covers all territory from salads to sandwiches to pizza to burgers. And a variety of popcorn and much more. Then there's the tasty food at Mr. D's, the Cowboy Grille, the Terrace Cafe and, of course, the fancy dining in the Million Room.

I wouldn't know. I sit in the press box and I don't eat press box food. As long as there's coffee, I'm good.
