Link, Shaw to keep political posts in Lake County

The top leaders of the Democratic Party and Republican Party organizations in Lake County will remain unchanged - at least for now. State Sen. According to an email to Democratic precinct representatives shared with the Daily Herald, Link agreed to continue serving as chairman until a regular election can be held. At that time, Link will support former state Rep. Lauren Beth Gash's bid for chairwoman, the email states. Gash was named vice chairwoman of the group this week. As for the Republicans, Shaw had no challengers.
