Pet owners' responsibility

My wife and I have been hiking the trails at Deer Park forest preserve and also at Cuba Marsh. Two wonderful places to get some exercise during these trying times. We were both disgusted, as I am sure others are, at the amount of used dog waste bags that dog owners just throw on the paths. Would it be to hard to bring a plastic grocery bag on their walks and take it with them to a garbage can or wait to dispose of it when they get home after their walk? Being a pet owner means being a responsible pet owner. You can't blame the animal; it's the irresponsible owners. Nothing wrong being a dog lover, but have respect for the beauty of the outdoors. Please pick up after your dog.
