Special Barrington Area COVID Response Fund established

The Barrington Area Community Foundation and the Barrington Area United Way have joined forces to create the Barrington Area COVID Response Fund.

Grants from the fund will be prioritized for nonprofit organizations serving the Barrington area, providing vital basic needs, services and resources to disproportionately impacted individuals and families, especially within vulnerable populations.

Additionally, the fund will support nonprofits that are experiencing financial hardship or providing increased support services to individuals and families not qualified for coverage by other avenues. The nonprofit community foundation board has approved a special $100,000 challenge grant that will match - dollar for dollar - donations made to the special fund.
