Sunrise service memory

I remember celebrating Easter Sunrise live on WKRS 1220 Radio at the Grayslake Outdoor Theatre. Chief engineer Verne Buland would get up before dawn and set up the live remote broadcast that started at the early dawn of Easter Sunday. Families filled the spaces - "outdoor" in their cars, loaded with family and friends and turned on their radios in the car to hear the ministers' message. It's amazing to look back at such a remarkable event ... back then.
