Oakton Community College hosting virtual college fair April 17

High school and college students can gain access to valuable college resources without leaving their home by attending Oakton Community College's Virtual First-Gen College Fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, April 17.

The virtual fair will include representatives from colleges from throughout the area answering students' questions about transfer options and other topics.

Single offering 30-minute information sessions, followed by a question-and-answer session, will be available from 11 to 11:30 a.m. Recurring information sessions will take place every half-hour starting at noon and will end with question-and-answer time for students and parents. Participants can attend virtual college rooms and meet one-on-one with college representatives.

Colleges scheduled to take part include: DePaul University; Elmhurst College; Loyola University of Chicago; Northern Illinois University; Northern Michigan University; University of Illinois at Urbana - Champaign: and University of Maryland.
