Naperville dealer supporting special needs charity

Gerald Subaru of Naperville plans to donate roughly $78,000 to Little Friends Inc. this month through its participation in the national Subaru Share the Love fundraiser.

The annual fundraiser around the winter holiday season supports 1,170 hometown charities as well as four national causes.

Doug Gerald of Gerald Subaru of Naperville said his business has used the drive for several years to support Little Friends, which serves people with autism and other disabilities with housing, schools and supportive programs.

"That's part of our commitment to Little Friends, and coronavirus didn't shake that," Gerald said about the Share the Love donation.

Little Friends plans to work with the dealership to determine the best use for the funding.
