Don't complain, cooperate

I watched Gov. J.B. Pritzker's news conference the other day and couldn't believe he was complaining about President Trump not providing the state of Illinois with the necessary assistance to combat this frightening disease that is taking over the world. He was elected governor of the state of Illinois as Lori Lightfoot was elected mayor of the city of Chicago. The president and the federal government is providing guidance, aid, information and equipment and is empathizing and keeping watch over an entire country.

J.B. Pritzker quoted on March 27: "We will not rest until each and every region of our state has what it needs."

There is a men's apparel company in Des Plaines that employs 300 workers. The company's name is Hart, Schaffner & Marx. The factory remains idle as they have been shut down as a non essential business. The COO, Ken Ragland, said that with their sewing machines and 300 employees, they have the ability to make hundreds of thousands of masks for first responders.

The company has been trying to get state approval for two weeks to in fact assemble these masks. This is not the time in our nation to be pointing fingers, but to reach out and appreciate anyone and anything that will get our country past this horrible COVID-19 virus.

We as a country can get through this together going forward, not looking over our shoulders placing blame on one another. The United States will prevail, so help us God.
