Pulling together at last

Watching with growing unease how our country was becoming so divided and hateful remarks were tossed back and forth, I knew the only thing that would pull us together would be a disaster. Unfortunately, that disaster is upon us and we are all at war against an unseen enemy. This produces fear and causes some to fall back on their hatred to criticize. If you watch the daily briefings by the president and his warriors it is hard not to be impressed by the talented and dedicated people brought forward to lead this battle for the present as urgently as possible, and at the same time to thoughtfully make plans for the future. It is heartwarming to see Congress and our citizens pull together to do what they can to aid in this war and help each other. The battle is still being fought and there will be many scars, but we will persevere.
