Aurora woman charged with aggravated DUI after crash with child in SUV

An Aurora woman has been charged with four felony counts of aggravated DUI after a crash with a child in her vehicle.

Kane County State's Attorney Joe McMahon on Monday announced the charges against Alma G. Manzo, 32, of the 1100 block of North Ohio Street.

Prosecutors say that just before midnight on Saturday, the Nissan Pathfinder Manzo was driving struck a parked vehicle near the intersection of Claim and Union streets in Aurora.

Manzo's license had been suspended and she had no insurance, according to a news release.

Manzo appeared on Sunday in Kane County bond court, where a judge set her bail at $25,000 and released her from custody on her promise to appear in court. As conditions of bond, Manzo is prohibited from driving and from consuming alcohol.

Her next court appearance is set for 9 a.m. May 20 at the Kane County Judicial Center.
