'On Call Hero' blood drive in Lombard

Yorktown Center and the village of Lombard are partnering with Versiti Blood Center of Illinois to host the "On Call Hero" blood drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 31.

The drive is set to take place in a Versiti mobile blood donation center that will be parked at 24 Yorktown Center, in the plaza between Highland Avenue and Grace Street behind McDonald's.

Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome. Staff members will put in place social distancing precautions to ensure donor safety. Donating blood is considered an essential activity and is exempt from the state's stay-at-home order.
