Number of Cook County inmates with coronavirus up to 24

The number of Cook County jail inmates diagnosed with coronavirus stands at 24 as of Thursday, up from 17 a day earlier.

According to a news release, nine employees of the Cook County sheriff's office have tested positive as well.

Sixty-three detainees have pending test results.
