Palatine police seeking partnerships with security camera owners
The Palatine Police Department is asking residents and businesses in the village to register their privately owned surveillance camera systems in their Community Camera Partnership.
As police respond to incidents, they may be able to use the information or footage gathered from the security cameras to assist in the apprehension and prosecution of those involved.
Participants must have an exterior facing security camera system that records and retains video.
The program is entirely voluntary and consent to view video footage can be withdrawn at any time. Police will not have access to your system.
To register online, visit www.palatine.il.us/FormCenter/Police-Department-10/Security-Surveillance-201. For more information, questions or concerns, contact police at (847) 359-9000.
