Barrington charity using school buses to bring meals to students in need

A nonprofit organization will use school buses to deliver meals Thursday to Barrington Area Unit District 220 students in need.

Barrington Children's Charities will drop off the food at the students' homes from 2 to 5 p.m., according to Superintendent Brian Harris. The organization will use Barrington Transportation school buses that serve District 220.

Barrington Children's Charities is run by volunteers with a mission of raising money to support and address the social, emotional, physical and educational well-being of children in need within District 220's boundaries.

Thomas and Darby Hills of Barrington Hills lead the nonprofit.
