Local state of emergency declared in North Barrington
North Barrington Village President Eleanor Sweet McDonnell has signed a declaration of local state of emergency in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, North Barrington village hall is closed to the public. The village encourages residents to conduct business by phone, mail or email when possible. They also may use a drop-off outside village hall's main entrance. Officials said emergency declaration places North Barrington in a better position to obtain state and federal funding related to the pandemic.
