Naperville first responders taking precautions

Due to the new coronavirus, Naperville's police and fire departments are asking anyone who calls 911 during an emergency to alert the dispatcher if they or anyone with them has flu-like symptoms.

Police and fire buildings are closed to the public, but staff members will continue to take nonemergency calls at (630) 420-6666 for police or (630) 305-5900 for fire. First responders are practicing social distancing and may wear additional protective gear when responding to calls.

Whenever possible, police ask residents to file nonemergency reports online at www.naperville.il.us/onlinereporting.
