Close results so far in race for Democratic primary for MWRD board
A tight three-way race has emerged for the third place in the Democratic Metropolitan Water Reclamation District Board primary Tuesday night, according to the unofficial vote count.
Challengers Patricia Flynn of Crestwood, Heather Boyle of Norridge and Hanover Park Village Clerk Eira Corral Sepulveda are separated by less than 4,000 votes, with around 85 percent of precincts reporting. Flynn had 146,762 votes, Boyle had 145,148 votes and Sepulveda had 142,986 votes.
Far ahead were incumbents Kimberly Neely DuBuclet of Chicago with 206,884 votes and incumbent Cameron "Cam" Davis of Evanston with 171,125 votes. They were endorsed by the Cook County Democratic Party, along with Sepulveda.
If they prevail, DuBuclet, Davis and Flynn will be named the three Democrats on the November ballot.
