Arlington Heights closes village hall

Arlington Heights officials closed village hall beginning at 5 p.m. Tuesday through the end of March in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Starting Wednesday, village hall and the Public Works Hanson Center will be open to the public by appointment only until the end of business Tuesday, March 31.

Those who need to make an appointment to meet with village staff are asked to call or email.

The number for village hall is (847) 368-5000, public works is (847) 368-5800 or email publicworks@vah.com, and police is (847) 368-5300 or email policemail@vah.com. Residents can also visit vah.com and use the Arlington@Work request form.

Nonessential village board and commission meetings are canceled for the rest of March, as well as meetings of outside organizations that use village hall.

The timeline for the closure to the public will be reassessed and the public will be updated as necessary, officials said.
