Failure of leadership
During his chance to capture a captive American and worldwide audience regarding the pandemic, the president had a chance for an FDR-type moment. In his approximately 10 minutes on the air, he reminded us what we already knew. Effectively, to his minions anyway, skirting his responsibility as the so-called leader of the free world to assure and inspire us to come together and be strong Americans, in the face of this unique crisis. Instead, nothing inspiring. Nothing to take away. Vacuous, at best as he appeared to be a deer in headlights. He had a chance and blew it. To his supporters, think again in November as to true leadership as it has not been on display for three and a half years and magnified during this national and worldwide crisis address last eve. Keep the faith.
