Bartlett police arrest man charged with harboring runaway

Bartlett police arrested a 32-year-old Kenosha, Wisconsin, man Friday on charges of harboring a runaway and resisting or obstructing a peace officer.

Moses Siorta faces those two class A misdemeanor charges as well as another charge for violating the uniform criminal extradition act, police said Monday.

At about noon on March 13, Bartlett officers responded to a home on the 600 block of White Oak Lane to assist the Kenosha County sheriff's office with locating a runaway juvenile last seen with Sirota, authorities said.

Bartlett police safely located the runaway hiding inside the home. Officers reported Sirota fled the scene on foot but was taken into custody without incident near Route 59 and Lake Street, police said.

Sirota was taken to the Cook County jail to await an extradition hearing.
