Arcada Theatre to host live stream concert series

In the wake of closing its doors in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, The Arcada Theatre in St. Charles has announced a livestream concert series featuring performances by local music acts.

From 7:30 to 9 p.m. for the near future, the #MUSICSTRONG concert series will be webcast from the stage of the empty Arcada Theatre. Access to the concerts and more information can be found at arcadalive.com.

The initial lineup consists of Chicago's Own Piano Man salute to Billy Joel & Elton John on Sunday, March 15; Classical Blast ... Classic Rock performed with Classical Instruments on Monday, March 16; The Celtniks, Today's Party Band-Irish Style on Tuesday, March 17; Kashmir, salute to Led Zeppelin on Wednesday, March 18; and area favorite 7th Heaven on Thursday, March 19.

More bands will be announced shortly, including a livestream of "Sinatra Sunday" from both the Club Arcada Speakeasy in St. Charles and Club 210 of Highwood.

"As we shutter our venues during this scary episode we are experiencing today, I believe it is the responsibility of all of us in the music industry to give back to the ticket and beverage buying public," said Ron Onesti, president and CEO of The Arcada.
