Dundee Township Park District suspends all programs, closes facilities
Based on guidance put out by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the declaration of a national emergency, the Dundee Township Park District will be closing all facilities effective Monday, March 16 through Sunday, March 29.
We believe it is in the best interest of our community to take precautionary measures and close all of our facilities for two weeks. The school districts and libraries have also closed, and with the high use of our facilities, we have decided to also close our facilities in an effort to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
Beginning Monday, March 16, Dundee Township Park District programs, activities and public access will be suspended at the following facilities: Adult Activities Center, Rakow Center, Randall Oaks Recreation Center, Funshine Treehouse, Randall Oaks Golf Club and Banquet Facility, Bonnie Dundee Golf Club, and the Administrative Building will be closed through March 29. At this point, we will continue to reassess the situation to reopen on March 30. The only exception to the closure is polling at the Adult Activities Center and Randall Oaks Golf Club clubhouse, which is taking place on Tuesday, March 17.
It is essential to note that this continues to be a rapidly evolving situation. As additional information becomes available, we will post updates on our website, social media outlets - Facebook and Twitter, and via email. Please continue to visit these frequently for updates.
The Park District emails and phone lines will accept phone calls (Monday-Friday, 9:00 am-4:00 pm), and staff will respond as soon as possible.
