Parks programs canceled in Elgin

The Elgin Parks and Recreation Department has canceled all classes and programs Saturday through March 29. That includes classes and programs at the Edward Schock Centre of Elgin, the Eastside Recreation Center and Hawthorne Hill Nature Center. The Edward Schock Centre of Elgin and the Eastside Recreation Center will remain open with limited amenities, including the fitness centers. The Bowes Creek Country Club and Highlands of Elgin golf courses remain open. The Hawthorne Hill Nature Center building is closed. Trails remain open from dawn until dusk.
