A better Republican for U.S. Senate

I absolutely love the Daily Herald and look forward to reading it every morning. And I really think the writers do try their best to limit their biases. However ...

A bias was evident when you recommended Mark Curran as the Republican to run against Dick Durbin for Senate. I read all your reports and interviews. As a Republican, my appraisal put him in dead last, fifth of the five candidates.

Tom Tarter was the best from a Republican view. It seemed like you had a panel of editors who were all or mostly Democrats pick the Republican they liked best. Handling such biases is very hard and most big papers don't even care to hide theirs, but the Daily Herald is better than that.

Since it is still likely that almost half your readers are Republicans, please do your best to throw them a bone every now and then. If you need help, I'm here for you.
