Schaumburg Parks cancel Sugar Bush Fair

The Schaumburg Park District has canceled the Sugar Bush Fair scheduled for March 14 and 15 at the Spring Valley Nature Center in Schaumburg due to the outbreak of COVID-19 and medical experts' recommendations regarding large public gatherings.

"The safety of our patrons and staff is our number one priority," park district Executive Director Tony LaFrenere said. "As a precautionary measure, we feel canceling the event is in the best interest of our community's safety and health."

Officials said they are not aware of any COVID-19 exposure at any Schaumburg Park District facility.
