Highland Park Library to close

The Highland Park Public Library, 494 Laurel Ave., will close at 9 p.m. Thursday, March 12 until further notice. The library has about 1,000 visitors each day and while the risk to residents is low this social distancing strategy is being taken to help stop the spread of the virus, officials said. Books, movies, and other materials will be available to check out via a self-service pick up location at the library's lower level. Cardholders can call (847) 432-0216 or place a hold at hplibrary.org. The library is boosting its Wi-Fi signal to be accessible in parking lot.

All digital services will remain available.
