Scholarships for students studying environmental issues

The Friends of Moraine Hills State Park is offering two $1,000 scholarships to students who will enter college to pursue a career directly related to preserving/protecting the environment.

Eligible students must reside in Lake, McHenry or Kane counties, attend a high school in one of those counties, have a minimum B average for the first three years in high school and plan to attend an accredited college or university.

Applications are due by April 15 for the school year starting in fall 2020. Application packets are available at www.friendsofmorainehillsstatepark.org.
