Northwestern Mutual Wealth Management Advisor Earns Retirement Income Certified Professional® (RICP®) Designation

Bryce A. Simon, a Wealth Management Advisor with Northwestern Mutual, a leading financial security company, has earned the Retirement Income Certified Professional® (RICP®) professional designation from The American College of Financial Services.

"Bryce's RICP designation achievement will further allow him to identify retirement income needs and objectives after evaluating his clients' current financial situation relative to their goals," said Thomas J. Canale, Managing Director, Northwestern Mutual - Chicago Rosemont District Office. "This added expertise in personal retirement planning will undoubtedly strengthen his service to his clients and our company as a whole."

The RICP® educational curricula is a complete and comprehensive program available to financial professionals looking to help their clients create sustainable retirement income. The rigorous three-course credential helps master retirement income planning, a key focus area not fully covered in other professional designation programs. From retirement portfolio management techniques and mitigation of plan risks to thoughtful income strategies, employer-sponsored benefits and determining the best Social Security claiming age, down to how to strategically leave a meaningful legacy, the RICP® provides a wealth of practical information.

Using the most current techniques, RICP®s identify retirement income needs and objectives and evaluate a client's current situation relative to those goals. The program covers a broad range of retirement topics including income needs and objectives, estate issues and other risks to the retirement income planning, Social Security, health insurance and housing decisions, and income taxation.

Simon joined Northwestern Mutual in 2008 and has built a successful, top-performing holistic financial planning practice focusing on the wide-ranging needs of corporate professionals and business owners.

With a continuous commitment to understanding the complexities of the changing financial climate and making financial planning recommendations in his clients' best interests, he has also pursued and achieved the Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®), Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®), and Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®) designations. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Management from Purdue University.
