Let's see climate facts

Mr. Buckley in his March 5 letter to the editor says that the question "Do you believe climate change is caused by human activity?" was not a relevant question for the 6th District candidates. I think that it was.

But the question should be refined to the following: "We know that climate change is happening, so what percent of this is due to Mother Nature, i.e. the remaining years of the last Ice Age versus that which is caused by the carbon footprint left by mankind? He concludes by asking our elected officials to rely on science and facts. I concur, but please, would scientists show us what the facts are rather than postulating things without proof of what we can actually control compared to that which we have no control over.

They are only talking about the last 40 or 50 years here - not the last 10 to 20,000. Let's get it straight before we waste billions of dollars that India and China and others will not share with us per the Paris Climate Accord.
