TriCity Family Services to host 'Emerald City Gala'

TriCity Family Services, a trusted partner that offers counseling services and mental health programs for children, teens, families and community members throughout central Kane County, invites the community to join in its 31st annual fundraiser, "Emerald City Gala," on Saturday, March 21. It will be 6 to 11 p.m. at the Q Center, 1405 N. Fifth Ave. in St. Charles.

The agency's largest fundraiser of the year, the "Emerald City Gala" will honor the brains, the heart and the courage behind TriCity Family Services' mission of strengthening people and building community through the provision of quality, affordable mental health counseling.

Gala co-chairs Kanoshia Ferguson and Michelle Rollins invite the public to this year's "Wizard of Oz"-themed fundraiser that will include hors d'oeuvres, dinner, live and silent auctions, wine and whiskey pull, speaking program, and more.

Ron Onesti, president and CEO of The Arcada Theatre, will return for a third year as master of ceremonies.

The event will also recognize the recipients of the 2020 Golden Heart Awards, which honors long-standing and meritorious philanthropic support of TriCity Family Services, its mission and the people served: Mike and Betsy Penny (Individual or Couple); The Richard H. Driehaus Charitable Lead Trust (Company or Foundation); and Geneva Women's Club (Community Group or Organization).

Last year's Walk of Fame Gala was attended by nearly 400 people and raised more than $90,000 to support counseling services and mental health programming provided by TriCity Family Services.

Tickets are $150 per person and available through the agency's website, www.tricityfamilyservices.org/emerald-city-gala/.
