Classical pianist kicks off Barrington's White House series

Barrington's White House will welcome back renowned classical pianist Llewellyn Sanchez-Werner to the third floor ballroom at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 15.

Sanchez-Werner will kick off the Spring Classical Series at Barrington's White House, followed by Toronto's Gryphon Trio on Sunday, April 5, and concluding with Duo YUMENO Sunday, April 26.

All three performances can be purchased together at a discounted rate of $75 per person at BarringtonsWhiteHouse.com/events.

A California native, Sanchez-Werner began his first college degree at 5 years old and began performing regularly with orchestras at age 6. At Juilliard, he was the youngest admittee to the bachelor's degree at age 14 and the master's degree at 18, where he was the recipient of the Kovner Fellowship.

This now 22-year-old has been praised for his "poetic, electrifying" and "masterful technique," and has been declared a "gifted virtuoso."

His performance at the second inauguration concert for President Obama at the Kennedy Center is one of many accomplishments from this young artist. He was named a Gilmore Young Artist, recognizing him as one of the most promising young American pianists, and was selected for 2018's Yale School of Music's prestigious Artist Diploma program.

Notable also for his tremendous humanitarian efforts, Sanchez-Werner received the Atlantic Council Young Global Citizen Award and has performed on CNN International and at the U.S. Embassy in Paris, helping to strengthen ties within the international community as well.
