Campaigns spread own misinformation

Kane County has just put out a warning to voters to be aware of attempts by foreign sources to influence 2020 election results. They will do so by spreading misinformation. Although we should all be vigilant, we should also be aware that the greatest sources of misinformation are the campaign ads put out by both sides of the aisle. It is appalling to see the lies and misinformation put spread by those who ask us to trust them to serve our best interests. Sadly, the old saying "they will say anything to get elected" continues to hold true.

In this internet age, any information anyone wants is within a few clicks. When you see an ad that makes questionable claims about a candidate's record, pro or con, check it out before you vote. You owe this to yourself and to your fellow citizens.
