Grayslake history program on tap March 11

The Grayslake Historical Society will host a free program Wednesday, March 11, tracing the history of Grayslake bars and saloons throughout the years. The program will be at 7 p.m. at the Grayslake Heritage Center and Museum, 164 Hawley St. Jane Trump, a society board member, will share the story of Grayslake's spirited past, from saloons of the ragtime era through the long (mostly) dry spell of Prohibition, up to today's vibrant bar scene. Light refreshments will be served.
