Women's Club of Inverness to host 'Greatest Show' event

Aerialist Brenna Bradbury is a graduate of Fremd High School, with a Bachelor's of Fine Art in musical theater and dance from Millikin University.

Performing acrobatics high above the ground using silks and Lyra, Bradbury placed second in the 2015 U.S. Aerial Championships, Silks Division, and was selected a finalist in the 2016 competition for Lyra Division.

The Women's Club of Inverness will hold a spring fundraising event, "The Greatest Show: A Day of Cirque and Song," from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. April 8 at the Meridian Banquet and Conference Center, 1701 W. Algonquin Road in Rolling Meadows, where Bradbury will perform along with an area vocalist, a nationally known magician, and a ringmaster of ceremonies.

Included in the ticket price, in addition to the stimulating entertainment, will be a luncheon, vendors on-site for shopping, themed raffle baskets and cash prizes.

All proceeds will be part of WCI's philanthropic mission of providing funds to support nonprofit agencies and need-based scholarships.

Ringmaster and professional vocalist Bernard Scahill, formerly of Schaumburg, has toured nationally and has appeared in Broadway musicals. He will officiate and sing.

Local professional vocalist Kristyn Karasch of Hoffman Estates has performed at the Chicago Cultural Arts Center, the Auditorium Theater, Carnegie Hall and the Opera Theatre and Music Festival of Lucca, Italy. Karasch and Scahill will delight guests with their vocal adaptations of songs from the movie "The Greatest Showman."

Magician Bill Cook, a three-time winner at the World Magic Seminar in Las Vegas, will confound guests with his magic routines.

Registering for the fundraising event and cirque stage show can be done online or by mail. Tickets are $75 each. Online, attendees can pay by credit card at womensclubofinverness.com/activities, or contact Registration Chair Angie Arett at wci.event.information@gmail.com.

All reservations must be received by March 18.
